Coalition Aids In Establishing New Rashid District Police Station
The leaders and community officials from the Iraqi Government, the Iraqi National Police, and the Coalition gathered recently at the new police facility being dedicated in SW Baghdad.
The new facility is being established to help further the security and safety of the region. The Iraqi Security Forces, having been trained by the coalition have been growing in professional skills, dedication and confidence since they started to assume the lion?s share of the security responsibility from the Coalition.
The Iraqi Police Officers and members of the Iraqi Police Force Command attended along with different Iraqi Ministry of the Interior to recognize the new grand opening of the Radiyaniyah Police Station, held at the new station in the Rashid District.
The new police station will work to support and enforce the laws of Iraq, as well as provide a home base for many of the hundreds of new Iraqi Police officers that have been trained and hired over the last several months.
The opening marks the official start of operations at the new police station. The Radwaniyah Iraqi Police Station signifies the new commitment by the Iraqi people, the Iraqi police and the Iraqi Government for the rule of law.
It is a entirely new concept for many people in Iraq, but it has been enthusiastically embraced by the majority of the community, officials and members of the ISF forces.
