New Iraqi Navy Forces Perform Key Security Missions
One of the improvements that the recent security improvements have allowed is for the rebuilding of the Iraqi Navy. The Iraqi Navy has been rebuilt with equipment and supplies, and gained trained personnel to create a functional and professional service.
Part of the training has been one on one training that has been conducted by the United States Navy, and United States Coast Guard. They have worked to give the Iraqi Army training in how to deal with different marine and seagoing security operations including inspection, patrol and other issues.
The Iraqi Navy and Coalition forces have worked to partner in different critical maritime missions that include maintaining stability and security for the entire region. Iraq has maintained its territorial security, and worked to learn how to monitor and maintain maritime security.
As they have learned how to maintain security, they are slowly taking over the responsibility and how to provide security for the ports of Iraq, and for the Iraqi coastline.
