Baghdad, Iraq- As the forces of the Coalition and the members of the United States Soldiers continue to return to the United States, there are other positive things occurring. With the assistance of U.S. Soldiers and Coalition troops, Iraqi students are benefiting.
There are a number of programs over the last couple of years that have helped provide school supplies to Iraqi Children. One of the programs gives school children from Texas the chance to help and assist.
Students from the Rylander Elementary School in Katy, Texas have chosen to help students in Iraq, collecting and working hard to send needed school supplies to the students in Iraq that otherwise would not have them.
Soldiers and U.S. Marines have been very important in helping set up these programs.? The United States military has been very useful to locate and identify the programs and the children that could use assistance.
It is a win win situation and a program that has worked to create and foster good will. There are literally thousands of school children in Iraq that have supplies that would not have been able to study without them.
The school supplies the schoolchildren from Texas provide a visible example of what kind of positive assistance and goodwill can occur.
The school supplies being given to the children of Iraq continue and the goodwill and positive community feelings will endure for many years.
I read the article on “School supplies shipped to Iraqi Students by Texas kids” and was wondering; how do we find out what the need is; and who do we connect with if we want to ship things to our miltary soldiers in Iraq?
I’m researching for mercy ministry for my church and we would like to do something for the US soldiers in Iraq. Please advise.
Thanks.
