Although the city is considered to be small by Texas standards, there are still many people that were in the city on Veteran’s Day, honoring the Veteran’s in the area as best as possible. There was a small parade that took place in the city on Veteran’s day in Seguin, all of which was to honor the Veteran’s that live in the area, as well as those that have perished as a result of being killed in military action.
The local VFW as well as supporters of the Veterans in the area, were present in the day’s activities. There were many tears that were shed from the gratitude that so many have for the fallen heroes as well as those that are still alive. This years celebrations added to the continuous celebrations that occur in the city every year. Many of the annual celebrations will also honor the Veterans that are still alive as well as the deceased, in the area, by giving them a plaque or adding their name to a local memorial. Numerous families will also turn out for the festivities, in the hopes of keeping patriotism and the respect for our military veterans alive.
The local coliseum grounds are where many of the festivities take place, which also adds for an ease for those that will be in attendance, as it makes the celebrations all the more easier to locate.
