Washington, D.C. -? Recently members of a Air Force Unit stationed at Camp Virginia, Kuwait were able to participate in some friendly online competition with members of the Wake Forest University Football team. The soldiers were able to mix it up with these top college athletes, playing a version of the popular online video game:?? ?Call of Duty: World at War.?.
The game and video event were set up by the organization ?Pros vs Joes,? and its goal is to boost the morale of different members of the US Military that are stationed overseas. One of the methods of doing this is to set up friendly video games and video conference sets between athletes and members of the US Military.
?We just want to set up an event to bring people together in good fun, a little different and using some positive entertainment,? sayd Greg Zinone, one of the founders of the Pros vs. Joes organization.
The group also works to set up video live real time conferences between US Servicemembers and family back home. It give a sense of home and camaraderie that really helps to boost and sustain personnel in the US Armed forces.
