There is crime which goes on throughout the world. The common tie that binds is the internet. This is a network which makes it possible for criminals in countries around the world to attack the United States and the US Military. This is the reason why the United States Air Force stands a vigilant watch over this and other systems which can be infiltrated by criminals whether domestic or abroad.
What You Will Do
As a member of special investigations you will help to investigate specific cases of fraud, conduct counterintelligence and look into personal backgrounds. You will assist in maintaining the safety and security of the United States by investigating some of the most important information related to crime and national security. You will also help to track and apprehend criminals on a global scale through investigative work.

Get the Training
It is not possible to get into this career unless you have achieved at least 6 years of service in a senior level position or 12 years of service in a sergeant level position. The only way to be called up to this position sooner is with an outstanding record in your position and an ability to demonstrate that you are the right person for the job. Those with computer skills and an ability to speak necessary languages will also be given preference over those who do not.
