Special Pay Military Enlisted Benefits

July 29, 2008 By admin

The Navy is an organization that has a lot of different jobs. Some of them are jobs that take special training, or involve special risks, or is a combination of the two. Because of this, the Navy offers special pay for different jobs, and different duty. It takes a special individual to serve in the Navy in certain specialist jobs. Serving in some of these jobs take a special level of training, or a special level of commitment.

The Navy realizes that some of these type of jobs take additional risk, or need a special level of training and commitment. And because of this, some of these jobs are eligible for either an initial enlistment bonus, or a re enlistment bonus. The Navy use their special Pay to attract candidates for certain type of jobs, and they show that these jobs are valued.

These jobs are not always available and the bonuses are not paid for each and every job in the Navy. The special pay is only available for skills and certain jobs that the Navy says are in high demand. Jobs such as Navy special divers, Special Warfare, Combatant craft crewmembers, or special operations are some of the type of jobs supported by special pay. Other jobs that feature special pay or bonus pay are Parachute specialists, Explosive disposal technicians, or explosive ordnance crewmembers. Other types of special pay that can be qualifed for by enlisted personnel are: Foreign language pay, parachute pay, Sea pay, demolition pay, diving pay, and pay for serving on a flight line. There is also incentive types of pay that the Navy give to enlisted personnel that are qualified in recognition of the nature of their jobs, and because of their job skills. Some of the following qualify for special enlistment bonuses:
-Explosives Ordnance Disposal- $40,000.
-Navy Seal- $40,000 dollars.
-Navy Diver- $35,000 Dollar bonus.
