There are many different places in which the United States Navy will have to in and help to rebuild the city. Of course, there always seems to be a need within the US Navy itself to build buildings and maintain the ones which already exist. Steel tends to be one of the materials which is used often because it lasts a long time and it offers the amount of strength needed to provide buildings the staying power that they will need to do their job.
What You Will Do
When you work as a steelworker in the US Navy, you will be in charge of constructing structures made out of steel. You will need to know how to fasten one piece of steel to another through welding, riveting and other processes. You will also need to be able to maintain the buildings which are in existence so that there will never be a chance that those who use the building will ever be in danger of there being a collapse in the structure.

Get the Training
To make sure that you know what you are doing, you will have to undergo not just basic training with the rest of the enlisted personnel. You will also have to go through ?A? school training in Gulfport, MS. The training will last 51 days and you will learn everything that you will need to know to do your job correctly and so you can make a career out of steelwork.
