Local Students Compete In Educational Competition
There are some activities that are universal, and one of these is the desire on the part of students to show their academic ability. Recently, a group of Iraqi students entered into competition against other Iraqi student teams. Together, the teams participated in the highly competitive Al Kut Quiz Bowl.
The premise is simple: take different teams of young people, and participate in questions that are posed by a moderator.
These are questions about current events, as well as other types of questions. The person asking the questions also serves as the master of ceremonies for this event. It gives the different student teams that are participating a chance to show off their skills.
Members of the 353rd Military Civil Affairs team and other coalition soldiers worked for nearly 3 years in setting up the educational program that resulted in the quiz show concept.
The team that was organized from Suwayrah emerged victorious after two full days of competition. The elimination rounds were held, and the teams worked hard to show off what they have learned.

While security for the event was pretty tight, participants were delighted to be able to compete in public.
