Iraqi Soldiers Trained By Coalition US Air Force Staff
One of the newest additions to the training for the Iraqi?s that the Coalition is providing is the tactical Warfighting course that is being conducted by the US Air Force. It is a precision military training course that provides different skills sets to Iraqi Airmen candidates.
Members of the US Air Force 322nd training squadron from Lackland AFB in Texas deployed to Iraq have created a course that helps fill in gaps in the training that Iraqi airmen receive.
The training involves basic weapon skills, and combat skill events that help build both confidence and practical skills for the Iraqi Servicemembers.
It includes a obstacle course and involves a fairly intricate training evolution. They designed the course to include different types of skills that they believe the Iraqi Airmen need to be able to effectively build their own Iraqi Air force.
The course is fairly tame for most US soldiers, but for the Iraqi Servicemembers they have a great respect for the course, and for the skills that it teaches.
The Servicemembers of the Iraqi Air Force, as well as select units of the Iraqi Army have been rotating through the course, and it has helped a number of the trainees gain confidence in combat conditions. It is a course that is gaining in both popularity and reputation.
