The modern battlefield is one of the most technologically advanced battlefields in history. What started out as swords and shields is now about body armor and Kevlar bullets while the communications and relay equipment allows troops in the battlefield to have seamless conversations with the rest of the unit without ever having to lift a transceiver and without having to be heard by the enemy. The one things which remains constant in regards to the technology is the need for electricity and computerized equipment which is maintained by the Integrated Family of Test Equipment (IFTE) Operator.
You will be responsible for making sure that all of the test equipment which is used to test and maintain the electrical and electronic equipment is operating properly. This will allow others to run diagnostics on equipment and be able to make repairs or to maintain the equipment so that it does not break down in the first place.
Because so much is riding on this equipment working properly, it is imperative that you will be able to make sure that it works properly. By your doing your job, men in the field will be able to get detailed orders as they are sent. The very orders themselves will be as highly accurate as possible because of the voice and data information which will be shared through the battle network.
