The Attraction of the US Army

Your reason for wanting to enlist in the US Army does not have to be the same as the next person. However, many people are attracted to this branch of the military for the same reasons.

Before you become part of the Army it is important to know why you are making this decision. Once you enlist, your life is going to change forever.

Common Benefits of Enlisting

As you become aware of the many benefits of enlisting in the Army, it is easier to see why millions before you have made this decision. While you don?t want to jump into anything without thinking it through, as you learn more about the benefits of enlisting it may be difficult to hold yourself back.

1. Education. Believe it or not, educational benefits are among the best reasons to become part of the Army. From the ROTC program to the Montgomery GI Bill, the Army makes money available for college. In short, you can become part of the world?s top military force while still getting your education. To sweeten the deal, some or all of your college tuition may be paid for by the Army.

2. Training. In today?s day and age, getting a job in any field is difficult. If you are searching for a job in your desired industry it may be next to impossible to land a position. In the US Army this is never an issue. Instead, you can choose from one of more than 150 job specialties. On top of this, Army soldiers receive top notch training from the most knowledgeable professionals in their industry.

Note: the training you receive in the Army will help you during your enlistment period as well as when you attempt to enter the civilian job market.

3. Serve your country. It is easy to talk about the educational benefits, on the job training, the pay, and so much more. That being said, you don?t want to overlook the biggest benefit of all ? the chance to serve your country. As part of the Army, regardless of your career, you are taking on a huge responsibility. Your main responsibility is to keep your country and its citizens safe and secure, day after day. Are you up for the challenge?

Now do you see why so many people enlist in the US Army every year? The attraction runs deep. With so many benefits of enlisting, you may want to consider this branch of the military.
