Tigris Valley Patrols Uncover Multitude Of Suspects
The Iraqi security forces have a reason to rejoice this week. In operations which concluded on Sunday, there have been a series of raids on different identified spots in Northern and Central Iraq. The joint Coalition and Iraqi Security Forces Patrols have yielded the arrest of 30 different terror or insurgent suspects.
Working near Tikrit, the forces of Iraqi Security and members of the Coalition worked cooperatively on several patrols, which yielded a suspected terrorist forger who was captured. The suspect is also believed to be responsible for coordination of different suicide bombers that have tried, mostly unsuccessfully to attack Iraqi and coalition facilities.
The area around Fallujah has seen the capture and interrogation of a alleged cell leader that is a known member of Al Qaeda. The man was in the region to try and slip back into the community. A tip from a watchful community member led to his arrest.
The man was also known to be involved in IED and bomb unit manufacture. The man is suspected of distributing and manufacturing a number of car bombs in the region.
Mosul has seen a increase of security tempo, to make sure that the safety and increased security continues. A three day patrol operation that ended on Saturday led to the capture and arrest of several suspects.

As the summer continues, more and more of the security patrols are being set up and managed by the Iraqi Security Forces.
