Military Training Base Build 70 Miles Northeast Of Baghdad
One of the more exciting new facilities being constructed in Iraq has been the ongoing improvements and construction of the Kirkush Military Training base. The base is centrally located and will assist as a distribution and rally point for Iraqi Forces defending the region.
The region is a vital support area for the Iraqi Army, it is a prime logistical region and gives support for different Iraqi missions to and from the area.
The base has slowly grown into a sizable facility, there are 31 buildings that will eventually be completed in the compound, including military support buildings, classrooms, a gym as well as a new Non commissioned officer academy building being constructed.
There are a host of sub projects that are being completed, and the overall base is a bee hive of military supported activity.
A new ammunition range, storage facilities, improved fuel tanks and an updated sewer and waste water system all are part of the ongoing coalition construction effort.

Having trained soldiers in the field is a positive thing, but you have to have the facilities and the infrastructure to support them. The Kirkush Regional Maintenance base will give this type of crucial support to Iraqi Soldiers in the field, and it will likely be an ongoing area of positive growth as the Iraqi government steps out and works to grow.
