Those who are interested in administrative jobs may find that a career in the National Guard is the way to go. Just because you join the Guard does not mean you will be fighting on the front line. There are people who need to take care of admin related tasks. Why not join in this capacity?
To get started with this type of job you will go through 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training. This is the same training that all new members of the National Guard go through.
Upon graduating, you will move onto 7 to 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Just how long you train depends on your specialty. In other words, some administrative jobs need more training than others. That being said, 12 weeks it not a lot when compared to the training for some other positions within the National Guard.
If you are interested in admin jobs in the National Guard you can get involved with many including: administrative specialist, human resources specialist, finance management technician, and chaplain assistant among others.
Now that you know more about training for administrative jobs in the National Guard you can decide if this career path aligns with your goals.
I really want too join the national guard but dont know what too join under i need help decidinf
If I decide to apply for such a position, will I ever find myself having to go out to the battlefields? Just curious since I did read that one has to pass a Physical Exam prior to being considered. If you’re going to be at a desk all day, I am not seeing why one would need to undergo an examination of physical being.
If you could provide me with more details about the job and what to expect, I’d appreciate it.
Thank you for your time,
