Are you the type of person who would enjoy supplying troops with anything and everything needed to do their job? If so, you should consider a logistics support career. The more you learn about these opportunities the more excited you will get.
Training for one of these jobs starts with 10 weeks of Basic Training. While it may not be the most fun you ever have, it is something that every new member of the National Guard has to go through. Soon enough, though, you will move onto Advanced Individual Training. This training can last anywhere from 6 to 46 weeks depending on the specialty area you choose.
A few of the more common logistics support jobs in the National Guard include: automated logistical specialist, ammunition specialist, ammunition stock control, food service operation specialist, parachute rigger, and water treatment specialist.
The training that you go through will prepare you well for a job in the logistics support industry. Of course, once you leave the National Guard you will be trained for a variety of positions.
