Coalition Soldiers Give Aid And Support
Members of the coalition have worked hard to construct and reopen the Shaab neighborhood marketplace, and the Aden Street roadway. The project was done with the support and enthusiastic encouragement from the public.
The ability of the area to have an increase in vehicle traffic, and foot traffic flow to the marketplace area is believed to be able to bring a huge increase in business. The citizens have been very cooperative and full of vigor and excitement, as the ability for different vendors to participate in renewed business opportunities.
The Baghdad region has seen a lot of change over the last couple of years. The local merchants have been upbeat and prepared for the increase in business, and the overall progress in the level of commerce and industry has already seen a marked increase.
New stalls have been constructed, and since the road was repaired, the marketplace itself has been the site of success and an overall increase in business.
The transportation and access itself has been the biggest change. Formerly the Aden street was a narrow, often twisting road that wound through that region of Baghdad.

Now, it is wider, with a sidewalk on each side, and an ample area for traffic going in either direction. The local citizens are pleased, and they are participating themselves in local commerce, as the entire marketplace and Aden street itself are undergoing this revival.
