Coalition Forces Install And Assist With Electric Capability
There is another industry that is thriving due to the efforts of Coalition forces. The Ready Made clothing factory can now put out much more clothing and products thanks to the large 850-kilowatt generator that was installed at the factory located in Mahmudiyah, Iraq.
The factory has been only using 10 percent of its one time capacity, due to limitations of lack of power and manpower. One of the first things that coalitions troops did when they began to assist in the area was to identify some of the needs for the community.
One of the identified needs was a new generator for the Clothing facility. The Baghdad 4 embedded pRT reconstruction team, which is part of the 101st Airborne, 3rd BCT team worked to set up and accommodate the delivery and installation at the clothing plant.
The new generator will end bouts of only part time power to the facility, and it will allow an immediate increase of personnel and production. The factory will be able to employ two shifts of workers again, and this will mean about 45 new jobs.

The mayor of Mahmudiya Qada, Mr. Jabbar Farraj Mullah Al – Chalabi was enthusiastic in his support of the coalition and in his appreciation for the new generator.
“This new generator will give us the ability to go back to our previous level of production from before the war,” said Mussif Jasseem. Mr. Jaseem is the manager for Ready Made Clothing.
