Military intelligence agents are special spies for the Military, charged with the job of obtaining undercover information and making an analysis that is sent on to commanders who use the information to decide on courses of action for combat. Intelligence agents are revered in all branches of the Military, including the National Guard, which has its own members who retrieve intelligence.
How to Protect the Homeland—in the Navy
Intelligence agents for the US Navy use computers and other mediums to obtain intelligence on the actions and maneuvers of other countries’ militaries. The information is gathered through video, satellite and aerial surveillance, SONAR, RADAR, wiretaps and even meteorological studies. The gathered information is evaluated, analyzed and decoded before given to a commander who will use the information to make combat decisions. The information an intelligence agent gathers often protects national security as well as the lives of troops, Navy fleets, leaders and commanders.
