US Army Cable Systems Installer

There is hardly anything more important in the military other than good communication. It is important so that you will be able to get the best of any situation as well as to know exactly what the opposition is up to. It is the reason why the United States Army puts a premium on communications and communication equipment. It is the job of the cable systems installer ? maintainer to maintain these and other systems requiring the use of data cables.


What You Will Do


You will assist in making sure that all data communication equipment has all of the cables installed that it needs to be able to operate properly. You will also be responsible for wiring and rewiring different systems. Additionally, you will be expected to perform systematic checks on the systems which are used every day in the field and on the base.

Get the Training


It is imperative that you understand what it is that you are doing. This is why your training will go beyond just the basic training that you will need to have. You will also go through advanced training which will allow you to be able to get the training that you will need to understand the different technical systems that you will be working with. You will also receive on-going training which will help you to stay up to date with any changes in hardware or technical information or procedures.
