The Air Force and Navy have been making recent adjustments to the military troops, downsizing the troops so that there will be additional monies that are freed up for materials that are needed in the military. This has come as a great shock and blow to those that have been enlisted, and have been discharge from the military much earlier than their original agreement. This move has been stated as being a necessity for the military, as they claim that they have no other means of saving money for the materials that are needed, such as airplanes and surveillance materials.
Although the military is still enrolling new recruitments, there are many that have been laid off, which makes many wonder what exactly is happening to the restructuring of the United States military. A lot of the troops that have been released have been let go as it is also a downsizing of the troops that are in the area.
With the due diligence that is presented from the US military, though, there will be many current soldiers that will receive a bonus in their pay for the high amounts of work that they will now have to add to their current work schedule, especially with the recent lay offs. The US military has claimed that they will be able to save billions of dollars this way, thus hoping to have the military cuts appeal to both those that are in the military already, and to those that are seeking to join.
What is the big picture Obama is looking for when he is cutting thousands of millitary and gov civilians in a very short amount of time with the economy falling so fast and unemployment at 9.1% I have gave 8 years in the navy and lots of my friends and my self we soon be out on the streets not able to pay bills and all the service members that have houses will soon be gone when we will not be able to pay. What are we going to do? How can we help? V/R CM2 Ryan Wooldridge
