In an attempt to beef up the security and advancement of the Iraqi military, the US has recently passed the security efforts in Karbala to the Iraqis. This is a large step for both the US and the Iraq militaries. This is a means of the Iraqi people becoming more independent, as previously stated was the goal in the Iraqi war.
With the reigns being turned over to the Iraqis, the US military has found that they have fewer responsibilities in the Karbala area, allowing for the removal of troops in that region. This is a good sign of advancement for both parties, as the US can begin to bring their troops back home.
There are still the needs from the Iraqis that will need to be met in the Karbala area. There is the need to advance the infrastructure, but there is still help that is greatly needed for this advancement. Although there will be the US military troop withdrawal, there will still be the assistance that is needed for the transition.
Strategic teams from both sides will be joining forces to make sure that the transactions that take place between the two will be as smooth as possible, and brought to light in an expedited manner. There are certainly positive results that will lie ahead for those that are seeking to advance the forces, as there will be the freedom that the Iraqis and Karbala leaders will need to rely upon in the future.
