Iraqi Soldiers Lead Effort To Assist Dehna Village Near Baghdad
The residents of Dehna village found out about the handing out of humanitarian aid and before the food and supplies even arrived, there was a line near the distribution point that led down the narrow street, and disappeared around the corner. At every point where food and supplies are given out the attitude are the same, appreciation, gratitude and excitement.
Sometimes it is a woman who is just happy to receive supplies that allow her to get a meal on the table for her family, at other times it is a small child that is happy to be getting a small toy, and in other places it may be a piece of candy. No matter what is received the people and villagers in Dehna are happy to have the assistance and express their gratitude with happy shouts and smiles.

Members of the Iraqi 6th Army worked to distribute food that was supplied from the 25th Infantry, 21st Infantry regiment, 2nd Stryker brigade Coalition Forces. The Coalition soldiers are part of MNF Baghdad and supply the food and supplies where they can to support the Iraqi security and rebuilding efforts.
The combined results of the food distribution are always positive. The villagers who receive aid are pleased, and the relationship between Iraqi soldiers and their community improves.
