West Point Army Academy- The oldest of the military Service Academies, West point is a place that stresses Cadet development in four different areas- Intellectual, Physical, Ethics and Morality. It was founded almost two hundred years ago and the graduates have been leaders that worked to lead both our country and our military. Tuition is fully paid and the books are also free. To gain admission students are required to be nominated by their Congressmen, or there are some other methods to gain admittance. A free education, free room and board, and a small monthly stipend are also part of the scholarship program at the Military Service academies. The Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, and Army all run service academics that offer their students a free education. In a perfect society everyone would be able to send their children to college or university for free. There would not be any padded or frill courses, but all the core and basic courses would be taught. Science, English, social sciences, mathematics as well as science courses such as physics, geology, and earth sciences. The Program at West Point is intentionally demanding and difficult, but it is some of the finest educational and military training available on the planet. There have been several West Point Graduates that have risen to become President, and also progressed to become leading military Generals. There are thirty one different courses that provide a core curriculum for a science and arts type of education that is second to none. Students would be taught to be patriotic, and to value America and American values. Everyone would learn the importance of morality, honor, and physical fitness. Sports would be of high value but not ahead of academics. Well, even though there are not places like that everywhere, there are at least four places that are like that at the University level. They are the military Service academics. The programs of all of the other three academies are based on the West Point model. The Cadets of each of the military academies work to train in both academics, physical education, and competitive athletics. Are you interested in an exciting career in the Military?
