Do you want to join the military for the excellent benefits and the military jobs, but don’t know which branch to join? You should look at your skills and your interests first. Do you like the water, both for swimming and boating? If you become a Marine or join the Navy, you’ll have extended underwater training. You’ll learn diving and how to survive in dangerous water situations. These branches of the military are ideal for those who love the sea.
The Navy is excellent for those who love both being in the water and traveling in it. Submarine tours as well as service on an aircraft carrier or other vessel are places you could serve if you join the Navy. Marines are generally the ones who charge up on a beach, and they’re transported there on Navy ships.
In both military branches, you have extensive water training. And by joining the Navy, you have the unique opportunity to take Navy Seals training. You can’t become a Seal by joining any other branches of the military. The underwater and diving training, among other survival training, is even more intensive to become a Seal. Request your free information today to help you decide between the Navy and the Marines.
Marines are dedicated, strong and fight on the front lines. They’re first to storm the beach. Physical training is a priority. Teamwork is an absolute.
In conclusion, both the Navy and Marines may ride the same ship, however, the ‘training’ and ‘jobs’ are normally polar opposites. The Navy (aside from Navy Seals) offers more technical jobs centered around the operations of a ‘ship’. And the Marines you can expect to be a soldier. Simply compare the traditional sailor side-by-side to a Marine. Note the muscle density variation (on average of course). Regardless, you can always be ‘all that you can be’… in both the Navy and the Marines!
Dear Whom ever is concerned,
I it’s been my life lon dream to become a Marine but there was this 1 thing holding me back.I never completed high school. So i was wondering if The marines will help me get my GED if i join them.
Ive been trying to enlist in the army reserves since last year. I ran into some obsticles than slowed the process way down. I recently spoke with my recruiter and he told me that they have closed the door on accepting people with GED’s. That was a HUGE dissapointment for me. Now I am searching for other ways to enter. If there is any way for me to enlist having only my GED I would the opportunity to speak with a recruiter from that branch. Thank You.
I am not aware of that. If I were you, I’d contact a different recruiter to verify that information is true.
i have a 20 year old son that would love to join the navy the problem is he does not have a GED OR HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA is there a way that the Navy could help him with this while starting a job with them?
