The United States Coast Guard is an exciting job filled with adventure and great opportunities. At the end of the day, it is however a job. The training you will receive in the USCG will prepare you for work which is necessary not only in the military, but in any job. You will work in much the same work environment as anyone who is working as a human resources employee or even in administrative positions. Training for the Rating
In order to make sure you know what you are doing, you will go through the proper training courses. You will be able to choose between going to a six week training course, learning on the job or taking a distance learning course.
